Becoming a map librarian
Hello All,
I've been researching map librarian info am so excited to find this group!
Please forgive the newbie questions...I've been a public librarian for several years and have been interested in developing skills related to map librarianship - how would I go about pursuing this? Are there "map/GIS classes for librarians"? What do I need to know to become a map librarian? I'm excited to dive into this specialty.

Hi Robyn, I just came across this website this afternoon and think it may interest you. At the bottom it lists References. Among them it looks like there are some books available that could offer some information as to becoming a map librarian. If I see anything else I will try to pass it along.
